Tim & Todd's Excellent Barbeque Sauce is a cherished legacy born amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the West Bottoms at the Stockyards during the early years of the American Royal Barbeque competition. Originally known as Possum Trot, it was in this spirited setting in 1989 that Tim and Todd first concocted their legendary sauce. Imagine them cooking tirelessly in the back of a pink '55 Chevy pickup, with their cooker nestled in the bed. Back then, the sauce wasn't bottled; it was crafted, utilized, and vended in gallon milk jugs.

Over the years, as other esteemed Kansas City competition sauces faded away with their creators retiring, Tim & Todd's has stood resilient, becoming a beloved staple in Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. The sauce has weathered the tests of time, becoming a hallmark of quality and flavor in the barbecue circuit.

For many, Tim & Todd's brings back memories of nights spent at the American Royal under the team name Boys of BBQ & Patty. From 1985 to 2018, this formidable team dominated competitions, consistently impressing judges with their exceptional meats paired with Tim & Todd's sauce. In 2000, the Boys of BBQ & Patty acquired Tim & Todd's, cementing the sauce's place in barbecue history.

From cane sugar (no high-fructose corn syrup) to tomato paste (not ketchup), vinegar, molasses, and an array of spices, each component is carefully selected to create a harmonious taste experience.
